The rumors are true! DJI Mavic 2 Series is out! Hasselblad Cameras, Hyperlapse, Dolly Zoom, and more!
And the rumors have finally been confirmed with today's announcement of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom from the latest DJI Mavic 2 Series.

DJI Mavic 2 Series

Two new beasts from the DJI Mavic 2 Series lineup have been revealed today at the Live Announcement of DJI. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro and the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom.

Both are different drones for different use cases but certainly better than the previous generation.

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is featuring the Hasselblad L1D-20c Camera with a 20MP 1" CMOS Sensor and an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11.

A partnership between DJI and Hasselblad is definitely something not to be taken lightly as Hasselblad is well known for their cameras and their unique Hasselblad Natural Color solution which produces iconic image quality and amazing colors.

DJI Mavic 2 Zoom

The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom features a 24-48mm Optical Zoom with 12MP 1/2.3" CMOS Sensor which can take 48MP Super Resolution Photos through software stitching that still produces super high quality images.

This is also the first model of the DJI drones which is capable of Optical Zoom.

Both models have these features:

  • up to 8KM 1080p Video Transmission
  • up to 31min flight time
  • Hyperlapse feature
  • Active Track 2.0
  • Omnidirectional Obstacle sensing

Of course, it is still portable and very small.

The DJI Mavic 2 Series has the LONGEST FLIGHT TIME so far in the consumer drone market.

Conclusion

This is a great innovation for DJI and probably drones in general. They definitely took the drone game to another level and of course giving consumers, creative professionals and film makers new and exciting ways to tell a story using the DJI Mavic 2 Drones as tools.
